Valleroi North, LLC is an independent US publisher of storybook ebooks for children in their first big reading and feeling years — ages three and four. We publish slowly, on purpose.
Three and four year olds are simultaneously learning what a letter is, what a friend is, what "wait" means, and what their own body does when it gets big feelings. The market of picture-book publishing is enormous, and most of it does not slow down for those years — it moves too fast, packs the pages too full, or writes for the grown-up buying the book instead of the child hearing it.
We wanted a small shelf of quiet books, sized and paced for those specific two years, that a caregiver could finish in a single sitting and a pre-K teacher could plan a fifteen-minute circle around. We publish one new title every eight weeks, roughly, and we plan to keep the total library small enough that a parent can eventually own the whole thing.
Digital-only ebooks in PDF and EPUB. Every title lives in one of two pillars — phonics and first words, or social-emotional learning — and every title includes a caregiver spread and a pacing guide, whether it's read at bedtime or at circle-time. The full catalog lives on the ebooks page.
Every title is reviewed in draft by two working pre-K educators — one from a NAEYC-accredited center and one from family childcare — before it goes to layout. Their notes shape the caregiver spread and the pacing guide, and their names appear in the caregiver spread of the finished title.

Valleroi North, LLC is a US limited liability company. Our mailing address, contact email and legal notices are on the contact page. We are small — a founder, a rotating illustrator, and a rotating editor — and we intend to stay that way for the foreseeable future.
Valleroi is a made-up word. It is meant to sound like a little town on a hillside where all our books take place. There is not, and never was, a real Valleroi.
